Mineral dan Geoscience Malaysia Info


  • Provide published and readily available reports on geology (including maps), minerals, and other geoscience fields within one (1) day after the application is received.

  • Provide unpublished and readily available reports and maps of geology, minerals, and other geoscience fields within one (1) week after the application is received.

  • Provide available digitised information within three (3) days after the application is received.

Laboratory Services


When requested, provides laboratory services in the following areas:


  • Mineralogy and petrology analysis

  • Analysis of ore, mineral, alloy, rock, alloy, concentrate, petroleum, and water samples

  • Industrial mineral test

  • Sedimentology test; and

  • Engineering geology test within an agreed period, if mandatory, or if routine, within two (2) weeks after receipt of the sample.

Advisory Services


Provides expert services when requested within framework and a period determined or agreed upon with the customer, especially in areas:


  • Geological mapping

  • Minerals exploration

  • Groundwater study

  • Geophysical study

  • Marine Geology study

  • Engineering Geology consultation; and

  • Environmental Geology consultation

Mining and Quarrying Consulting Services


  • Issue a Mining Licence or Quarry Licence within 30 days from the date of receipt of the complete application.

  • Provide correct and complete technical reports related to mining within 30 days from the date of receipt of the application, accompanied by complete documents.

Mineral Trading Services


  • Provide a review of the application to export minerals within five (5) days from the date of receipt of the application, accompanied by complete documents.

  • Issues a Mineral Ore Licence within 30 days from the date of receipt of the complete application.

  • Issues and renews permits for transporting tin concentrate within one (1) hour.
