Chief Digital Officer Duties
The main responsibility of the Chief Digital Officer (CDO) is to determine strategies and implement ICT initiatives to achieve JMG’s ICT Development and Usage Vision and Objectives.
Create a data-driven culture in the public sector that adopts a principle-based approach through the use of data and digital technology;
Transform digital delivery in the ministry/agency with a customer experience focus based on the Whole-of-Government concept through innovation involving data sharing, open data and emerging technologies;
Evaluate, coordinate and endorse digital service requirements, Technical Service Design and development budgets, and manage the agency as the implementer of digitalisation initiatives and projects;
Lead change through the alignment of the Ministry/State/Agency Digitalisation Strategic Plan (PSP) by:
- Ensuring the agency PSP is aligned with the Public Sector PSP, Risk Management and Change Management Plan;
- Ensuring the agency Enterprise Architecture (EA) blueprint is available; and
- Strengthening the agency digitalisation governance structure and coordinating the use of policies, standards and global best practices.
