Field achievement highlights
These highlights demonstrate JMG’s active role in strengthening groundwater management through aquifer potential assessment, technical well inspection, alternative water-resource preparedness, peat-fire mitigation and strategic engagement with agencies and industry.
- Six exploration wells were constructed in Kedah with a total discharge of 57.94 m³/hour.
- A subsurface geological conceptual model for Melaka was developed, covering 1,644 km².
- The MADANI Adopted Village programme involved 12 wells and two Compact Treated Water Filtration System (SPATR) units benefiting 1,571 residents.
- Groundwater quality monitoring involved 140 tube wells nationwide.
