LIBRARY, KUALA LUMPUR

LOCATION  
The library at the department’s headquarters in Kuala Lumpur is located on the 19th Floor of the Tabung Haji Building at Jalan Tun Razak. It occupies a floor space of about 500 m2.  
   
SERVICES AVAILABLE  

The library has a wide selection of references on the geology of Malaysia. Both published and unpublished materials on local geology are available for reference purposes. Limited references on geology of the Asian region and other parts of the world are also available from published material purchased as well as obtained through exchange programmes with institutions and universities both locally as well as overseas.

The library has seating facilities for a total of 15 clients at any one time. A computer is also available for surfing on the internet. Members of the public are welcomed but must register on admission into the library and are not allowed to borrow books. However, photocopying facilities are available and charges will be levied according to current rates.

Published reports and maps produced by the department are available for sale. A list of published reports and maps together with their respective prices are available on request or can be viewed at the departmental homepage. Available, but unpublished reports and maps can be purchased within one week from the date of request.
